The museum said that the ancient Egyptians had thousands of crocodile carcasses preservative treated and then buried them in the giant grave of the crocodile god, Sobek as sacrifice.

In the lab of Stanford University, researchers scanned the two mummies; one was by the bedside scanner with low resolution. The other is to use high-resolution scanner, which can produce 3D images of the scanning objects and present more details to understand its nuances. Stanford School of Medicine's blog also shows that the crocodile cub bone calcium (bone mineral density lower) can be found only in the case of high-resolution scanning.

In contrast, the high-resolution scanning pictures on the top had captured many exciting new details. The abdomen in the alligator, the researchers found the skeletal remains of prey and a hook. Subsequent analysis showed that the hook is made by a hook manufacturing technology in ancient Egypt. Hooks may be swallowed by crocodiles when enjoying its last meal. Williams pointed out that the hooks are not eroded, indicating possibility that it was made by the bronze.
